MEET THE DOCTORS
Dr. Vincent H. Nguyen (patients often call him Dr. Vinny) grew up in Orange County and attended the University of California in Irvine where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He completed dental school at the prestigious University of California Los Angeles in 2001. Since then, Dr. Nguyen has been in private practice in Orange and San Diego Counties.
As a child, Dr. Nguyen loved all aspect of art, especially drawing, painting and sculpturing. This was one of the reasons that led him to pursue dentistry as a career. Beside being a healthcare provider, Dr. Nguyen is very much of an artist and a perfectionist. He always remains up-to-date with the current technology by participating in numerous continuing education courses every year in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Dr Nguyen believes that "a beautiful smile makes a lasting impression," and he strives to create beautiful smiles in each and everyone of his patients.
Dr. Mai-Phuong Huynh graduated cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Dentistry. She immediately went on to complete a comprehensive 2-year anesthesia residency at the highly prestigious UCLA dental anesthesia program, which only accepts one applicant per year. She has experience in providing anesthesia for all settings, including the hospital operating room, emergency room, labor and delivery, and ambulatory anesthesia.
Dr. Huynh is a Diplomate of both the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. She is also a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. She currently serves as a board examiner for the Dental Board of California in IV Conscious Sedation and General Anesthesia.
Her memberships include the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologist, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, and International Anesthesia Research Society.
Dr. Mai Huynh keeps current on her Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). She is dedicated to providing and maintaining the highest level of care for her patients by attending many anesthesia related courses/meetings every year.
